The Software Engineering and Management program at McMaster University is a five-year program that consists of:
- All the credits required in the software engineering program
- Courses essential to graduate from a business program such as finance, accounting, marketing and operations management.
- Project-driven courses hosted specifically for engineering and management students by our faculty. We get the opportunity to work with other undergrads from different streams of engineering (such as civil, mechanical, electrical) in these courses.
I also took an option to enlist in the entrepreneurship stream for my fifth year, sacrificing the regular capstone and commerce electives for a new enterprise capstone project and leadership course. I made this decision due to personal goals and to avoid repetition of content that would appear in future education that I expect to take.
